“everything is beautiful” i first heard this quote when i was at EDC 2010. i remember it clear as day, Ferry Corsten was playing a crowd favorite. Those words spoke to me like no lyric ever had. they started out as just standing out to me, but on the drive home i started relating the lyric to everything in my life…..Ive been raving for almost 2 years now, and when i started, everyone thought i would become a druggie because lets face it, rolling is the thing to do when you rave. I have never to this day smoked weed, rolled, or done anything of that nature. i love to observe things, i always have. when i went to my first rave i instantly fell in love with the setting, the people, everything it had to offer. i have always loved electronic music but when i saw the lights and performers, it was what i always dreamed of. raves allow you to not give a fuck, all that matters is that moment, the music..the feeling. this phrase i now have on me permanantly reminds me that you should always try to find the beauty in the world. as messed up as this world is, you cant let it get you down, take a moment to notice the trees, listen to birds, listen to music loud ! love the people that love you and shun the ones that don’t. life is beautiful, and there are so many things to experience that will renew your faith…if you have lost it. My tattoo was done in Pacific Beach, Ca. at Above All Tattoo, by an awesome guy named Lalo (:

You know what is NOT beautiful? The spacing on this fucking thing. Lmfao. The general placement is kinda “meh” as well… hopefully your artist told you this at least, and you just insisted upon it.. But even at the angle you have it at, you can clearly see the spacing is all shitty. And it may just be the filter but it looks a little blown out as well…

And, aaaaactually, by saying “rolling is the thing to do when you rave!” you are supporting the negative stereotype that comes along with Raves and those who go to them. As somewhat of a kandi kid and has never touched any of the drugs either, that kinda pisses me off. Yes, drugs are abundant at them most of the time. But there’s plenty of them you can find where they are THERE, but not to a super huge amount. There are also a VERYYYY large amount of people who have been going to raves for many many years, who wouldn’t put anything like that in their bodies. Not all of the people who -do- do them are “Druggies” though. Often these people will only do the drugs once and awhile, a few times a year- which is honestly the “safest” way to go about it if they were going to do them. Not to mention, you look like a total douche when you parade around about how, “HAHA LOOK, I’M NOT A DRUGGIE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE WHO IS INTO THIS THING I AM INTO!” and again, I can’t stress this fucking enough- YOU ARE ONLY SUPPORTING THE HORRIBLE STEREOTYPE.

And honestly, the connection between the rave feeling and your reasoning is very, very vague, if even there at all. I can see it, but really, you just look like some hipster trying to be deep.
