I mean I know boy-bands seem to be coming back or something which would be great if they were any good.. But I’ve yet to see any (keep in mind I’m talking bigger and main stream. I have no idea about any other kind of boy-bands so there may be some… uh I dunno “underground”? good ones).

And I also know I don’t like a lot of the newer pop music, despite loving pop a lot. I’m not a special snowflake who is gunna claim OMGS ALL NEW MUSIC IS BUTTS because I love a lot of newer artists. 

But it’s just, they DO NOT BRING ANYTHING NEW OR REMARKABLE TO THE TABLE! All they have going for them is they are good looking (not my type at all but they are, for the most part, very attractive guys). In fact I’ve heard them live, without any of their precious altering in a studio, and it sounds even shittier than when they fix it. They are not good. Everyone is entitled to their musical opinions, but I refuse to believe in this case that their looks are not the major reasons they’ve exploded like this.

&& I’m really getting tired of this shit in media. I want more artists like Adele on the scene. She is so pretty, IMO, but she is also a bigger woman(does not matter to me, personally! don’t take it like that, I am talking strictly from a media and media-brainwashed consumer perspective)- and it’s caused her a lot of shit, despite being legitimately good at what she does. The media keeps selling us these generic bands/artists and we keep eating them up. If we as consumers would cut it out, it could maybe stop. We do after all have the strongest arguement known to mankind in our pockets and purses. We have the money. As a consumer you have power, but it only matters if we use our power in large numbers and it dos not appear like these fangirl/boys are gunna stopping spending mommy and daddy’s cash on this shit, which means we are only gunna be fed more of it.

TLDR VERSION OF MY BULLSHIT: One direction brings nothing really amazing to the table as a band … But they’re pretty, so they’re making tons and tons of money to be mediocre and flip their hair around and sing about how beautiful they think you are.. when in reality, more often than not these people are just as shallow as the entire idea behind them is. Not always of course but if you watch closely enough in interviews and stumble across off camera dirt, these people fucking suck.

YOU DO NOT GET MORE EXCITED THAN I AM RIGHT NOW

Every day since the tour’s dates came out, I remind myself somehow (usually one of their songs comes out) that Queen is coming here. And I am going. There really isn’t anyone who gets how amazing that is for me (though my friend I’m taking loves Queen as well) but Queen is seriously my favorite band. And while I may not get to see Freddie, this is the closest I will get to it, and I know that the boys have put together only the best for him.

I’m really really pumped thinking about the songs they’ll do. There’s of course the hands down choices, but I’m also not sure what they’re doing for back up vocals are going to be (If any of the original boys sing/play I will LOSE MY SHIT KDSFDFGFGH) so that kind of makes it hard to say, though the website for the tour had some listed (Radio Gaga was on there, and I hope it will be like when I saw Almost queen, and that every single person in that stadium does the arm thing<33)

I really hope he does Who wants to Live forever and omg I will be bawling like a baby by the end of this concert.
